Meadowsweet Holistic Health began in 2002 after I qualified as a Medical Herbalist. I’m a practicing medical herbalist of over 20+ years experience using naturopathic approaches and Iridology.  

Meadowsweet is a beautiful wild flower and herb. It was the favourite of my grandmother, who used the Meadowsweet plant medicinally on her farm in rural Herefordshire. I was born in Hereford on the Welsh borders and spent much of my childhood and beyond, staying in Pembrokeshire, where I loved finding meadowsweet among the wildflowers.

I’ve worked in private, public, and charitable sectors, supporting both young people and adults. I began as a teacher and still occasionally lecture at local colleges. Later, I trained as a Careers Adviser at the postgraduate level and now incorporate coaching and therapy into my private practice. I have specialized in helping people with SEND (special education needs and disabilities) mental health conditions, PTSD, and neurodivergence, especially autism, to develop their skills and achieve their goals. This included boosting confidence to find and keep employment.

My experience has driven my passion for helping people build self-confidence, believe in their abilities, and find meaningful activities that align with their values.

I’m passionate about treating the whole person by addressing the root causes, not just the symptoms. I help people feel more fulfilled by setting and achieving goals in areas like career, home, family, friends, and finances.

I aim to empower you to move from just surviving to thriving, with strategies for lifestyle changes and maintaining balance. By tapping into your own inner resources and self-healing potential, you can overcome barriers and find meaningful activities to improve your well-being.

I’m committed to lifelong learning and regularly update my qualifications and skills to better support my clients. I also participate in ongoing professional development and therapy supervision to ensure I provide the best care.

Consultations are available at my Carleton Rode clinic, surrounded by nature, or via phone or online. I also offer visits to employers and training providers.
